The birth of photography:
The first photographic process was invented by the Frenchman Joseph Nicéphore Niépce around 1822 who succeeded in capturing small images on paper treated with silver chloride which is a light-sensitive chemical.
The word “photography” literally means drawing with light.
The technologies that led to the invention of photography combine two distinct sciences which are optics and chemistry.
It will take several decades for the techniques of photography to develop and for photography to become more accessible.
Joseph Nicéphore Niépce is a French engineer known as the inventor of photography which is called "heliographic process".
He is the author of the oldest shot.
