Max Born was born on December 11, 1882 in Breslau in the German Empire and died on January 5, 1970 in Göttingen in West Germany.

Max Born is a German theoretical physicist.

Max Born is best known for his important contribution to quantum physics.

He was the first to give the square of the modulus of the wave function the significance of a probability density of presence.

He shared the 1954 Nobel Prize in Physics with Walther Bothe for his work on quantum theory.
