Wolfgang Ernst Pauli is an Austrian theoretical physicist and one of the pioneers of quantum physics.
In 1945, after being nominated by Albert Einstein, Pauli was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics for discovering the principle of exclusion that bears his name.
This discovery involves the theory of spin which is the basis of a theory of the structure of matter.
In 1956, when the neutrino had just been discovered experimentally, two young American physicists Frederick Reines and Clyde Cowan sent a telegram to Wolfgang Pauli to tell him that the neutrino really existed.
Wolfgang Pauli's response is immediate because he is taking his revenge on a scientific community which has not taken seriously his ontological proposal for a new particle. Here is what Wolfgang Pauli replied: “Thank you for the message. Good things come to those who wait for. Wolfgang Pauli. ".
